Geoscience - Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry and Environmental
Senior staff at Hy-Grade Geoscience, a division of Pinchin LeBlanc Environmental Ltd., have over 25 years of professional geoscience experience in the geological evaluation of base metals, energy minerals and industrial minerals. Our senior professional staff have experience with academic, industry and government sector and survey work.

Hy-Grade Geoscience provides a broad range of professional services to mineral resource exploration and development projects including geological, geophysical, geochemical and environmental programs. The scope of these services ranges from baseline environmental site assessments, waste management and site reclaimation for mineral and petroleum drilling operations, to drilling program development, client representation and site supervision for mineral and petroleum exploration programs.

Senior professional staff have the required experience and expertise in mineral and petroleum exploration and development to liaise with stakeholders and submit Qualified Professional (QP) documents to regulatory bodies as per the requirements of NI 43-101 and NI-53-101.

Key assignments have included:

  • Drilling RigEvaluation of the mineral exploration assessment data (base metals and industrial minerals) and potential of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in preparation for a Canadian Geological mission to the Kingdom.

  • Project management, exploration, development and feasibility program for a 1.5 to 3.0 million tonne per year rock salt mine.

  • Evaluation of a previous diamond drilling/exploration program and determine the source of water incursion into an underground salt and potash mining operation.

  • Drilling program development, contract and client representative, on-site supervision, geological logging and report preparation on numerous evaporite mineral (salt and potash) exploration and delineation programs in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

  • Geological, geophysical evaluation and technical feasibility of a salt deposit for development as a 20 million barrel underground storage facility.

  • Drill BitsPlanning, exploration, drilling, pump testing, well construction and production development for a high volume (270 igpm) low pressure (50 psi) geothermal water supply well.

  • Waste characterization for a petroleum exploration drilling project, management and compliance documentation of recovery, disposal, and site restoration.

  • Baseline environmental assessment and site restoration for a multi-hole petroleum exploration program.

We have completed several hundred environmental geoscience assignments as well as mineral exploration and development projects throughout Atlantic Canada. These projects range from environmental audits and phased environmental site assessments to regulatory compliance and close out of remediation programs. Minerals projects include geological mapping, geophysical and geochemical surveys, drilling and feasibility studies. Assignments have been completed for individuals and corporations, with a significant number of repeat clients. We offer professional services in:
