Geoscience - Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry and Environmental
Senior staff at Hy-Grade Geoscience, has over 34.5 years of professional geoscience experience in the geological evaluation of base metals, energy minerals and industrial minerals. Our senior professional staff has experience with academic, industry and government sector work.

Hy-Grade Geoscience provides a broad range of professional services to mineral resource exploration and development projects including geological, geophysical, geochemical and environmental programs. The scope of these services ranges from baseline environmental site assessments, waste management and site reclamation for mineral and petroleum drilling operations, to drilling program development, client representation and site supervision for mineral and petroleum exploration programs.

Senior professional staff has the required academic training, experience and expertise in mineral and petroleum exploration and development to liaise with stakeholders and submit Qualified Professional (QP) documents to regulatory bodies as per the requirements of National Instrument 43-101 and 53-101 compliant reporting.

Key assignments have included:

  • Drilling RigEvaluation of the mineral exploration assessment data (base metals and industrial minerals) and potential of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; preparation for a Canadian Geological mission to the Kingdom.

  • Comprehensive Mining Strategy Study Project of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

  • Feasibility study for the purchase of a fracking sand quarry and production facility.

  • Technical review, CAP-EX and OP-EX evaluation of a lithium and potash brine operation in South America.

  • Project management, exploration, development and feasibility program for a 1.5 to 3.0 million tonne per year rock salt mine.

  • Drill hole evaluation to evaluate the source of water incursion into an underground salt and potash mining operation.

  • Drilling program development, contract and client representative, on-site supervision, geological/geophysical/geochemical evaluation and report preparation on numerous mineral (salt and potash) exploration and delineation programs; New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

  • Construction of a materials delivery hole into the active underground workings at a salt/potash mine.

  • Senior technical advisor on the evaluation and abandonment of the grout and bitumen supply holes at an abandoned potash mine.

  • Construction of the shaft pilot hole for development of a salt and potash mine. Geological, geophysical and geotechnical data required for the development planning.

  • Construction of a series of shallow and deep, instrumented monitor wells, adjacent to a salt /potash mine.

  • Senior technical advisor and part of the management team for the water inflow evaluation, management and control operations at a salt/potash mine.

  • Geological, geophysical evaluation and technical feasibility of a salt deposit for development as a 20 million barrel underground storage facility.

  • Planning, exploration, drilling, pump testing, well construction and production development for a high volume (270 igpm) low pressure (50 psi) geothermal water supply well.

  • Waste characterization for a petroleum exploration drilling project, management and compliance documentation of recovery, disposal, and site restoration.

  • Baseline environmental assessment and site restoration for a multi-hole petroleum exploration drilling program.

We have completed several hundred environmental geoscience assignments as well as mineral exploration and development projects throughout Atlantic Canada. These projects range from environmental audits and phased environmental site assessments to regulatory compliance and close out of remediation programs. Minerals projects include geological mapping, geophysical and geochemical surveys, drilling and feasibility studies. Assignments have been completed for individuals and corporations, with a significant number of repeat clients.
